Job Description:

Our Academic Consultancy client has a new requirement for a Project Administrator to join their growing project team based in London.

Client details:

Our client connects experts with national and international organisations that are seeking to resolve specific, targeted problems or gain critical advantage in their market. They provide a full range of contractual and financial services to their staff undertaking consultancy work for external organisations.

As an integral part of the Project Management Team you will support and enable the academic community to deliver consultancy projects to external clients in an efficient and effective manner.

 

Role details:

Reporting to the Director Bespoke Short Courses – you will act as the interface between the external clients, academics and project team. You will have responsibility for day-to-day project support and data management on a variety of different sized projects.

Activities will include but are not limited to: project set up procedures, document management, scheduling, expense processing, milestone tracking and delivery, resource tracking, liaising with academics and clients, and assisting with the preparation of reports. Some of these projects include a large amount of event planning and co-ordination, and organisation of local and international travel logistics - some of the event planning tasks could involve travel around London to meet with suppliers and test event logistics.

The position holder will also provide support to consortia led projects, competitive tenders, bespoke training courses, private consultancy engagements and other consultancy projects both in the development and delivery stages lead by team members from our client. Previous experience of bid writing is desirable but not essential.

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable project administration experience within an academic or consultancy environment.
  • Strong academic background – degree level education or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on with the ability to work quickly and accurately in pressured environments.
  • Proactive with excellent time management skills.
  • Energetic
  • Eye for detail
