Job Description:

Our specialist automotive learning and development client have a permanent requirement for a Senior Project Manager to join their team based near Chippenham. This role is client facing and will require regular travel to Dartford.

 

 

Our client prides themselves on delivering first class learning and development product launches and events for prestigious automotive brands.

 

Role Details:

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of L+D projects, engaging with one prestigious automotive brand based in Dartford. This role requires strong project management experience and excellent client facing skills to ensure the successful delivery of activities to this ongoing account. Ideally this role will suit someone who is looking to move into an account manager role.

Reporting to the Operations Director you will work closely with our clients internal L+D design teams, lead learning consultant and current account manager. This role has no line management responsibility.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Project planning – using MS Project.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management, this includes agreeing appropriate controls, KPIs and ROI for each project.
  • Resource management.
  • Reporting and communication to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Financial responsibility for related account projects.
  • Change management.
  • Risk and issue management.
  • Project closure and associated tasks including evaluation, reviews and lessons learned.
  • Other ad hoc duties when required – this will include providing support to other projects across the organisation.

 

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrable project management experience – must have experience delivering multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Learning and development experience – ideally passionate about L+D.
  • Risk management experience.
  • Financial/budget management experience.
  • Senior level engagement experience – ideally in an account management capacity.
  • Flexible, adaptable and professional approach to work.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Takes ownership and initiative – a natural problem solver.
  • A flexible team player with a ‘can do’ attitude but equally comfortable working independently.
  • Practical and with a common-sense approach with a willingness to get your hands dirty.
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is beneficial but not essential.

 

Our client is flexible on working arrangements –1 to 2 days per week home based working is available but you would be expected to travel regularly to Chippenham and Dartford.

 

This role has the potential to lead into an account manager position leading the delivery of all Learning and Development activities for a well-known automotive brand.
