Job Description:

An SC cleared Benefits Manager is required by the Ministry of Defence for a contract until 04/01/2020 based in Andover.

The Armed Forces Recruiting Programme (AFRP) has been established to provide the successor to the current recruiting operations for the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force from 2022. AFRP aims to deliver an affordable future recruiting model that is flexible and agile enough to deliver the inflow required.

You will provide dedicated specialist support underpinning the SOR development, Operating Model and the Initial Gate Business Case for the programme. The Programme is currently working towards an Initial Gate Business Case submission to the Ministry of Defence Investment Appraisal Committee and a SOR 1st Nov 19.

The work over the coming three months will focus on developing a statement of requirement and tender documents to enable the programme to engage formally with industry for the future model.

 

Task will include:

  • Assist with the identification of benefits, tracking realisation of benefits through the achievement of levels of maturity and updating the relevant MI tool to report on the progress made.
  • Owns, develops and maintains the Benefits data, policy, standards, processes and templates.
  • Supports strategic alignment; provides guidance on project and programme alignment to business and strategic objectives and themes.
  • Support, advise and guide the Business Change Community (i.e. BCA, BCM, Lead User, Benefit Owner, CUB).
  • To support the definition and implementation across the programmes of assumption, issue and dependency management

 

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrable benefits management experience within a defence environment – ideally the MOD or military.
  • Previous experience working on business case submissions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent reporting skills.

 

Active SC – Security clearance must be held prior to the start of this role.
