Job Description:
As a result of our clients continued growth as a developer of swimming pools, they are now recruiting for a dedicated Business Development Manager to meet this demand. Working within a group led by Olympians, this new role will be focused solely on finding new business opportunities for our clients developing business.

Ideally you will be someone who has dealt with long lead times and high value items.

Their clients include leisure providers, councils, clubs and private enterprises, with their products and services including the following: -

  • 50 metre swimming pools (permanent or hired)
  • 25 metre swimming pools (permanent or hired)
  • Consultation on pool projects

You will be responsible for generating new leads for pool sales and managing leads through to project sign off. From attending events to building your own networks, you will be results-driven with the ability to develop business in the leisure sector. Sat within our groups Business Development team, this role requires a self-starter who is as comfortable working individually as inside the wider team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Acquiring new leads for pool project sales
  • Managing and progressing leads through the sales pipeline, using CRM system
  • Managing client relationships of existing leads in pipeline
  • Organising and attending sales meetings with new clients, involving TS Directors/Head of Commercial where relevant
  • Preparation of proposals, pitch decks and outreach collateral for all sales meetings and events
  • Delivering presentations to prospective clients
  • Hosting in-house events, at our existing pool facilities across the UK
  • Generating and hosting sales meetings with prospective clients, involving Directors/Head of Commercial where relevant
  • Conduct market research as part of lead generation process

What We Are Looking For

  • Educated to degree level or above
  • Experience in sales and/or business development
  • Confident in developing stakeholder relationships
  • Competent developing own approach to entering market(s)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Self-starter
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving KPIs and targets
  • Good communicator, including via presentations, the written word and over the phone
  • Ability to work alone in the field, as well as within commercial team setting
  • Understanding of contractual processes and obligations
  • Ability to travel nationally, with occasional evening and weekend work
  • A passion for sport is a bonus!

This role is based in Greater Manchester with National Travel.
