Job Description:

A Business Process Improvement Manager is required by our major infrastructure client for a permanent role based in London.

 

In this role you will lead on the development and delivery of range of digital engineering and wider business process improvement and governance activities; including mapping of existing processes, identifying gaps and recommending alternatives for improvement, process re-engineering to streamline and integrate isolated processes, in-line with industry standards, to enable technology integration and automation and support the wider digital transformation agenda.

Working within the digital engineering team, you will report to the Strategy Manager and operate across the organisation in a matrix fashion.

There is a strong focus on Lean principles and a relevant qualification combined with excellent experience is essential.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the digital engineering process architecture and process maturity 
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business analysis, process mapping, process reengineering and translating business needs and processes into a series of workflows/steps and removing waste where possible 
  • Continually review and map out key processes where necessary, benchmark these and compare against best practices
  • Implement new processes, and work with data owners and business functional leads to monitor and report on quality of processes
  • Ensure processes are complete, streamlined to drive lean improvements and reflective of best practices, supportive of overall productivity and efficiency and aligned across the programme
  • Develop and keep up to date relevant documentation, including all process related requirements
  • Work with data architect and functional leads to identify and overlay information requirements onto business processes 
  • Manage selection and implementation of process management related tools and technologies to drive consistency in process management and enable ‘what if’ modelling to facilitate process integration 
  • Establish process governance metrics/KPIs that align with overall business strategy, drive standardisation and automation
  • Work with functional leads to establish process ownership and accountability 
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience working within a digital or IT environment.
  • Mapping and managing large scale processes
  • Developing and using performance measures to identify and resolve process problem areas
  • Working in large, complex organisations with multiple digital requirements
  • Quality, lean and continuous improvement experience gained in a fast-paced matrix environment
