Job Description:

Our sales and marketing consultancy client have an opening for a Project Manager to join their organisation. This is a remote role working on global projects predominantly across the UK and US. Initially a 6-month Fixed Term role - potential to turn permanent for the right candidate.

 

 

Client:

Our client provides consultancy services to assist organisations in the delivery of projects within consumer goods, pharma, consumer healthcare, retail, tech and not for profit environments.

Made up of consultants who have a diverse range of experience working in senior roles for large multinational companies, they provide a collaborative approach that challenges organisations, telling it how it is and developing simple solutions that stick.

 

Role:

Our client is looking for a project manager to join their team and assist in the delivery of multiple projects ranging from £20k to £500k. This role requires a solid grasp of fundamental project management principles: planning, budget planning and tracking, risk management, change management, reporting and resourcing.

This role will focus on maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of key projects. You will also work across multiple projects and workstreams to link related activities and report on/summarise the overall progress.

 

This is a hands-on role with some previous client facing experience required. They are looking for pragmatic candidates, with an assertive approach to get things done, who can engage and work closely with director level resources. An understanding of a consultancy environment is required.

They are not looking for candidates to implement major changes to process or delivery approach.

 

Key tasks:

  • Facilitating approach for complex / bigger projects and providing approach for smaller projects for Project Leads to manage.
  • Project planning for all projects (£20K+) including project plan – key tasks, timelines, responsibility, interdependencies etc.
  • Budget planning/projection including working with the finance team to track.
  • Reporting - transparency of status, internally and externally including where are we, what issues/risks, rolling action logs, implications of missed milestones/changes in scope.
  • Weekly client update meetings – potentially leading meetings.
  • Strategic Resourcing activities, alignment to current projects, utilising resources to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable project management experience delivering fundamental project management tasks including planning/scheduling, budget, risk, change, reporting etc.
  • Demonstrable experience working across multiple concurrent projects, both interrelated and stand alone.
  • Excellent communication skills – strong verbal, written and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management experience at senior level.
  • Hands-on delivery experience.
  • A pragmatic approach, not theoretical.
  • Client facing experience.
  • Highly organised, comfortable working in a fully remote capacity.
  • A collaborative, team player with the ability to use their initiative.
