Job Description:

Experienced, client facing, full lifecycle project management professionals required to join a fast paced and growing professional services team responsible for delivering eCommerce solutions to retail marketplace.

Reporting to the project management team lead you will take responsibility for projects within your brief through the full project lifecycle, from pre-sales to BAU handover, working within the constraints of time, cost and functionality. Managing teams including technical specialists, developers and offshore partners you will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and compliance to the required governance structures.

Retail experience would be a bonus but is not essential, alternatively you may have ERP, CRM or other IT solution implementation experience. Ultimately the most important things you will bring to the role are; your soft skills, your demonstrable end to end delivery experience and your flexible attitude to your work.

As would be expected in a professional services environment, you will be expected to be adaptable and open to being where you need to be to be at relevant points in a delivery cycle. Thus, your working week may consist of some working from home, some time in the office or some time with the client. This may include some short stay, international travel. As a self-manager, you will set the appropriate schedule to meet your objectives.

Responsibilities include:

The Project Manager will be accountable for delivering outcomes and ensuring that you and your team are on track while following a standard process, as defined by the in-house Project Management and Delivery Framework. These are:

  • Presale - Working closely with the sales team to deliver RFP and sales proposals as well as attending presentations if required as well as creation. Generate SOW and Sale Agreement
  • Initiating and mobilisation - Checking feasibility and working out budgets, teams and resources; set objectives in line with your organisation or client needs, which may include scope, content, timings and budget
  • Planning - Setting goals, defining roles and producing schedules of tasks. Some tools, such as Gantt Charts and resource scheduling tool to create a visual project plan
  • Executing - Managing the project
  • Monitoring, controlling and financial - Tracking the project's progress, monitor the work to make sure it is on time and within budget as well as providing and updating revenue forecasts, producing accurate invoices on time. Must have experience in managing budget change control.
  • Risk and issues - Identify, manage, mitigate and escalate risks and issues to ensure delivery
  • Reporting – Report regularly to management and the client, internal and external.
  • Closing – Facilitating BAU handovers and evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for your next project.
