Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced practitioner to join them to head up their PMO function as they look to establish a hybrid PMO, capable of servicing their business needs as it embarks on ajourney of separation and innovation to accelerate its customer-focusedexpansion in the UK and Ireland. The challenge is to provide the senior leadership team with the desired oversight and governance of a portfolio of initiatives, whilst providing the desired agility which will allow them to establish the new business structure and then provide strategic growth.
 
Reporting to the Finance Director, this senior position will demand a practitioner with excellent communication skills; an ability to work at pace and experience of managing a portfolio of initiates across the whole enterprise. You will be joining a workplace populated by professional and passionate people with a progressive outlook and a focus on people.
 
This role is offered under a hybrid model of working with the expectation of office attendance for one day per week, providing an additional element of geographical freedom. An initial 12 month contract will be offered after which there may be an opportunity to convert to a full time role depending upon the direction of the PMO at that point.

Personal attributes include:

  • A well developed knowledge in the theory and application of Project Management methodologies, tools and techniques both traditional and Agile to create a business centric PMO solution.
  • Ability to communicate across a diverse community of stakeholders; high quality networking and influencing skills are a key requirement.
  • Ability to articulate the business value on complex solutions
  • Experienced in leading significant business transformation (Change Management) programmes.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation and with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with large amounts of data and operating within a complex environment
  • High attention to detail and ability to work at pace with changing priorities
  • Generalist Operations knowledge and legal compliance
  • Project management qualifications or relevant experience
  • Project experience across a number of key business functions
