Job Description:
My client, a rapidly growing professional institution is looking to engage an experienced Project Manager for an initial 6-month fixed term period. This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote work with some travel to their London or Northamptonshire offices. 
 
As the project Manager, you will report to the Head of Projects taking responsibility for assigned workstreams within the portfolio of activities that need to be delivered. Projects currently fit into 3 main workstreams, namely:
  • Comms and Marketing including events and significant stakeholder engagement
  • Service Delivery focusing on back-office systems and processes
  • Transformation of products and offerings

As a candidate you will bring a strong core project management skillset, with experience of mixed methodology delivery (agile and waterfall), cross functional working and strong analytical skills. You will also require experience engaging senior stakeholders ideally up to CxO level. Experience within higher education (apprenticeships) may also be beneficial.

This role has broad engagement across Finance, Marketing, Digital, Events, Product, Policy and Research teams.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and safe execution of projects, engaging with stakeholders and driving all phases of the project.
  • Identify milestones, dependencies and assess and report and manage risks and issues which could affect the success of the project.
  • Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference.
  • Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and track all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and reported to help with organisational learning and improvement
  • Translate communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.

Person Spec includes:

  • You will have excellent project management skills, be delivery focused and able to work at pace
  • You will be highly self motivated with excellent organisational and planning skills with an agile and flexible approach
  • Strong collaboration skills, having the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders is essential
  • A strong self-starter with impressive communication skills, who has successfully worked collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex plans on time and on budget.
  • Experience and knowledge of systems change projects would be ideal.
