Job Description:
Project Coordinator required to work in the newly established Project Management Office (PMO), where you will administer and govern a variety of strategic projects which aim to drive and deliver effective solutions to enhance both client and employee experience, as well as driving efficiencies across this established business.
Flexible hybrid working is the order of the day with the ability to be home based of work out of one of many offices distributed across the South West (Truro, Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter, Taunton, Bristol, Poole, Salisbury). Ideally a car driver you will be expected to spend some time in each location as and when project demands and also for team meetings.
Reporting to the Programme Director, you will form an effective team with the project manager and business analyst as part of a key central services group. Key to your success will be your ability to work autonomously, your focus on outcomes and the ability to work with a wide group of stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Run the day-to-day operations and administration of assigned strategic projects and related activities, from initiation to planning to execution and close.
  • Work with the Project Managers and project teams to help improve efficiencies, effectiveness, and productivity across the project scope, objectives, and goals.
  • Adhere to and use project management governance practices e.g., decision escalation, roles, and responsibilities, into project management and execution.
  • Follow project management tools and methodologies to help determine and identify objectives and scope with the Project Manager, planning goals, milestones and realise benefits.
  • Tenacious drive to follow-up and manager project milestones and progress to date through regular, proactive monitoring and reporting.
  • Implement effective risks and issues mitigation processes including escalating and validating roadblocks and challenges to the Project Manager.

Person Specification:

  • Evidence of client facing or internal business project experience, possessing sound knowledge of managing multiple projects, including project delivery within a fluid business environment.
  • Some experience of project management including helping scope and business cases, funding and budgeting, risk mitigation, planning, execution, and post-execution closing activities.
  • Good experience of collaborating and teaming with multiple stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills
  • Degree in a business or technology related discipline desirable.
  • Experience of using Project Management tools such as MS Project and Planner, Teams and Power BI. Adept user of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
